BTT 1585. Photo of MV Brading at Ryde Pier Head, undated, probably 1949 or early 1950’s.

In November 1948 at Portsmouth the ship was handed over new from the builders to the operators of the Portsmouth – Ryde ferry service.

She ran on this route until February 1986 when a mechanical failure forced her withdrawal.
