Laundry Staff Dec 1950. SMP 150

Report from Roy Langstaff on 2020-02-14: The third from the left in the Argyle pullover is my father Reginald James Langstaff. We would have been living at No.6 Linden Terrace at the time of this photograph. Next to him (fourth from the left) is Algie Sears. I think he lived at Broadstone Crescent. I would see him fly down the Mall on his bike at the end of the day at the Laundry located at the top of the Mall. One day he fell off his bike where Wrax Road joins the Mall. I remember an enormous ‘egg’ on his forehead from the accident. Perhaps the person on the left is Mr. Herbert, the manager of the laundry.
